Potters' fans good luck message
Britannia - official sponsor of Stoke City FC - is calling all Potters fans to show their support for the club as it gets set to embark on an exciting second season in the Premier League.
Fans are being encouraged to show their support by signing a giant good luck card to send the players a collective 'good luck' message as the team aims to build on its success of finishing 12th in the Premier League last season.
Britannia staff in Leek kicked-off the signing of the giant card - resembling the club's new home shirt for the 2009/10 season - before sending it on its way to the Hanley branch for fans to sign.
The Britannia good luck card will be available for supporters to sign - and add their own personal message - in Britannia’s Town Road, Hanley, branch, on Saturday 8 August between 1.30pm and 4pm and, Monday 10 August between 2.30pm and 4.30pm.
Nicky Dyke, Marketing Manager, said: “Britannia has been main sponsor for 13 years and is a keen supporter of Stoke City. We’re all looking forward to the new season with great anticipation as I’m sure all the fans are too.
“By signing the giant card, Potters’ fans - officially the loudest in the Premier League - are letting the team know they are right behind them and wishing them all the best for the new season. Britannia would like to extend its best wishes to the team on what promises to be an exciting season.”
The card will be presented to the team, ahead of the club's opening match of the new season when the Potter's host Burnley in the Premier League, on 15 August.
